WE ARE NOW LOAD SHEDDING PROOF, with SOLAR ENERGY.
In 2019, Keith and Deirdre embarked on a new adventure to realise a lifelong dream of owning and running a boutique hotel. Since then, they have welcomed over 200 guests, in 3 exceptional rooms in their, lovingly dubbed Urban Forest.
Carefully crafting each room with a modern, african flair, picked up from their travels abroad and their 20 years living in Atholl, your hosts know how to make you feel welcome.

Though we have only been operational a short time we've already received multiple awards, including the converted Booking.com Traveller Review award for excellent with an average review score of 9.6. We've also been recognised by SA-Venues and Afristay.
OUR ROOMS
All our rooms have been lovingly crafted with a contemporary African feel by our architectural team. Each room tells a story to make your Urban Forest experience all the more unique. Our emphasis is on good quality accommodation, stylishly put together. All our rooms have access to solar energy, and are 'load shedding proof'.
THE LAUNDRY (Deluxe Double)
Converted from the original outdoor laundry room, this space offers a light and airy feeling, perfect for a relaxing, short stay in our serene garden.
The room has a a work area and an ensuite bathroom with a combined bath/shower, and opens up to a shared garden. There is a small kitchenette complete with tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge, and microwave. You’ll have a smart TV in the room (with Netflix & BritBox), access to fast fibre broadband, and is 'load shedding proof'. This room sleeps 1-2 guests comfortably in a queen-sized bed.
THE STUDIO (1 Bed Apartment)​
Originally part of our architect studio, it is now a modern, stylish, and spacious one-bedroom apartment, perfect for long term stays, families and those looking for a contemporary oasis in the heart of the Sandton CBD.
The room consists of a bedroom, come living room; bathroom with a walk-in shower, a separate dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, tea and coffee making facilities, and kitchenware. The dining room table seats four; and doubles up as a work area. You’ll have a 40’ smart TV in the room (with Netflix & Britbox), access to fast fibre broadband, and is 'load shedding proof'.
There is a comfortable double bed and a single sleeper couch, and the room can accommodate up to 4 people, 2-3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children. Children under 12 stay free (maximum of 2)
THE WORKSHOP (Deluxe Queen)
Our newly renovated room was converted from our workshop, where most of the designs for the guest house were created. This room has beautiful morning light and a view of our serene garden - perfect for a short to medium term stay.
This room offers a a kitchenette complete with tea and coffee making facilities, microwave, fridge and a small stove top (upon request), a dining nook that comfortably seats 2, and a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower. You’ll have a smart 43’ TV in the room (with Netflix & BritBox), access to fast fibre broadband, and is 'load shedding proof'. This room sleeps 1-2 guests comfortably in a queen-sized bed.
